University of California Press
The Berkeley, CA–based University of California Press is one of the six largest university presses in the United States. It operates as a unit of the Office of the President, University of California, and publishes approximately 200 new books and 40 multi-issue journals annually in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. L+W provides ongoing general map production and design for the Press, for a wide range of subjects and titles—from winery maps and natural histories, to Gertrude Stein's travels, to the development of the Port of Los Angeles. UC Press relies on L+W because the firm consistently produces quality work, on time and according to budget, while working well with their various teams of editors and designers.
